Programs

Bank On Shreveport was created to help the unbanked and underbanked achieve and maintain financial stability. Bank On Shreveport’s purpose is to break down the barriers of banking and create an easier pathway for residents to enter the financial mainstream. We offer:

  • A low-to-no cost second-chance checking account through 14 bank and credit union partners, and
  • Free financial education classes, workshops, and one-on-one counseling sessions.

For Employers (Lunch & Learn Program)

The Financial Education Lunch & Learn Program is a personal finance training event generally scheduled during the lunch hour. The goal of this program is to assist businesses in lowering their payroll costs, while at the same time, helping the un-banked and under-banked employees re-establish relationships with safe and affordable financial institutions and become better managers of their personal finances.

For Colleges/Universities (Collegiate Financial Education Program)

The Collegiate Financial Education Program is a series of personal finance training events scheduled at times coordinated with the organization and are convenient for the colleges and students. The goal of this program is to assist colleges in lowering their student payroll and refunds administrative costs while at the same time helping the un-banked and under-banked students start or re-establish relationships with safe and affordable financial institutions and become better managers of their personal finances. With more freshmen entering school with limited financial experience and leaving with more debt than ever, more and more colleges are taking it upon themselves to educate their students on banking basics, saving and budgeting.
