Bank On Shreveport participated in the City of Shreveport’s 2014 Summer Jobs program. BOS and one of our partners, Heike Reagan from Pelican State Credit Union, spoke to 380 young people ages 16-21 years old about ‘Paying Yourself First’ to remind them about saving some of the money that they earn this summer. BOS partners Red River Bank and Regions also attended. Together, we spoke to the program participants about establishing bank accounts, credit and classes on basic banking and budgeting.
